Biography
Abdel Fattah el-Banhawi is the current Prime Minister of Egypt, serving since 2018. An economist by training, he previously served as Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt. Born in 1956, el-Banhawi has been instrumental in implementing Egypt's economic reform program, including the floating of the Egyptian pound and structural reforms.
